ABOUT HITMIND

Why HitMind exists

SEO tools got very good at proving they did something. Nobody proves it worked.

HitMind is our answer: an engine that audits, delivers drafts, and then checks its own work against your Search Console. This page is the why, the record so far, and the rules the product has to obey — including the week we caught ourselves overselling and rewrote it.

THE MANIFESTO

Output is easy. Outcomes are the job.

01

The industry ships output, not outcomes

Count the promises on any SEO tool's homepage: 50 articles a month, 200 backlinks, a full-site scan in 40 seconds. All of it output. None of it answers the only question that pays the invoice — did traffic grow because of this? The industry settled for proving effort. We built HitMind to prove effect.

02

Your Search Console already knows the truth

Google publishes the verdict on every page you ship — query by query, day by day, in your own Search Console. Most tools look away and sell you a third-party estimate instead. HitMind starts from the primary source: connect Search Console and it reads up to 16 months of your history, grades every article against the same data after it publishes, and — on paid plans — seeds its daily topic suggestions from the queries you already appear for. On the free plan, or before Search Console has data to read, topics start from your brand details or a direction you give.

03

Autopilot with a quality gate, not a content cannon

AI can write a hundred articles a night. That's the hazard, not the pitch. HitMind writes only from the brand facts you've approved, paces itself to your plan's allowance, and rewrites anything that scores under the quality gate, up to twice — a draft that still falls short is held for you, and your call is logged. That's not friction — that's the product working.

04

Receipts or it didn't happen

Every article HitMind delivers to your WordPress (and you publish) is wired to get a 28-day before/after record from your own Search Console: queries, impressions, clicks, positions. If a piece earns nothing, the receipt is built to say so — flat line, no spin. Every receipt is stamped measured, not causal: we show you what changed, we don't claim we caused it. We haven't printed one ourselves yet — our first three tracked articles finish their 28 days on Nov 6 (UTC) — and /proof shows that wall, still empty, rather than hide it.

05

Say what you didn't look at

The free audit reads one page — your homepage, plus robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt and the first ten internal links on it. Sixty seconds. That line sits at the top of every report we produce, in the same type size as the score. It costs us the word "comprehensive" and buys back something worth more: when we do say a number, you can check it.

THE RECORD

Short history, honest dates

Every entry below shipped and is still running. Open any entry for the numbers behind it.

MAY 28 · 2026

One homepage, up to 39 checks, five scores: Performance 25 · SEO 25 · Mobile 25 · Security 10 · International fit 15. SEO, Mobile, Security and International fit are deterministic by design — the same page scores the same next month. Performance is measured live via Lighthouse on every run, so it can move a little on its own.

ENGINE SPEC
Checks up to 39
Scope homepage + robots.txt + sitemap.xml + llms.txt
Median run 58s
Re-run drift, 4 of 5 dims ±0

No "content" score, no "authority" score. Five dimensions is the whole list — anything else you see on a HitMind report is a check inside one of them.

Run the same audit on your homepage →
AUG 05 · 2026

A second, asynchronous job: up to 600 URLs from your sitemap, about 20 minutes, run once you have an account. It's the only thing we own that can name pages — orphan pages with zero internal links, weak pages with one or two, the full URL list. It is not the 60-second audit, and we never merge the two numbers.

TWO JOBS, NEVER MERGED
Free audit 1 page · ~60s · no account
Site crawl up to 600 URLs · ~20 min · account
Source of URLs your sitemap.xml
Shared score none

Site crawl and the free audit are built to never share a page count — conflating "600 URLs mapped" with "reads your homepage" would overstate what either one saw.

HOW WE BUILD

Five rules the product obeys

Not values on a wall. Each one is written as a behaviour, with the screen you can check it against.

01 · SMART

Smart

The system decides what to work on; you decide yes or no. Every topic suggestion arrives with the reasoning behind it, and picks from the keyword radar also show their search volume and difficulty.

CHECK IT Topics → the reasoning on every card
02 · PROFESSIONAL

Professional

Every number traces back to Search Console and can be clicked down to the raw query row. Charts carry publish markers. Receipts are designed to carry "measured, not causal" — we haven't printed one yet.

CHECK IT /proof → the method, and why the wall's still empty
03 · SIMPLE

Simple

One primary action per screen. The nineteen pages of our internal tool became seven modules before anyone else saw them, and the home screen is built to be cleared in a minute and closed.

CHECK IT App home → an inbox, not a dashboard
04 · EFFICIENT

Efficient

Automation is a switch per lane, and every step it takes is logged. Topics and drafts can run on their own today: daily topic picks start writing within your allowance, and drafts that pass the quality gate go to your WordPress drafts. Going live stays your click in WordPress. Automatic fixes to existing pages aren't built.

CHECK IT Settings → Autonomy: one switch per lane, with a log of every automatic step
05 · PRECISE

Precise

We state the scope and refuse to invent numbers. No impact scores on fixes — the engine has none. When Lighthouse times out, Performance reads "not measured" and leaves the total, never a zero.

CHECK IT Audit report → the SCANNED strip under the score →
THE RECEIPTS

We run this on our own site, too. Three on the clock.

hitmind.ai is a new domain — near-zero backlinks, the same starting line as any site on day one. Our own drafts go through the same quality gate; three went live on Oct 9 and finish their 28-day window on Nov 6 (UTC). Until then there's no receipt to show — and we're not going to borrow one to fill the gap. When they come in, every audit, article and receipt this domain earns goes on the wall, small numbers included.

THE TEAM PAGE, HONESTLY

No headshots yet

We're a small team shipping weekly. Faces and bios will land here when we've decided who's public — and we'd rather leave the space empty than fill it with stock portraits.

Engine engineering Owns the 60-second audit, the site crawl, and the GSC pipeline.
Content systems Owns the quality gate, the fact base, and everything that refuses to ship.
Growth Writes this site and runs the product on it — three articles so far — and will write the first receipt once one exists.
Hiring? Not yet — the receipts decide when we can afford a desk. If you want to be first in line when they do, say hello anyway →

Meet the product, not the pitch.

Paste your domain and get the same audit we run on our own homepage — scored, ranked, and specific about what it did and didn't read.
