The receipts wall.
This is where hitmind.ai's own audits, articles and receipts show up. The pipeline is live — topics, drafts, the quality gate, WordPress delivery — and three articles it drafted have been live on hitmind.ai since Oct 9. A receipt needs a full 28 days after an article goes live, and theirs close on Nov 6 (UTC). Until then the wall stays empty — we're not going to borrow another site's numbers to fill it, and we're not going to invent our own.
3 ARTICLES ON THE CLOCK · FIRST RECEIPTS AFTER NOV 6 (UTC) · NOTHING BORROWED
Still empty. Three on the clock.
A receipt needs two things: an article that's actually live on the public web, and a full 28-day Search Console window after it went live. Three articles HitMind drafted went live on hitmind.ai on Oct 9 — HitMind delivered them to WordPress as drafts; we edited a few lines there, then pressed Publish. Their windows run Oct 10 – Nov 6 (UTC). None has finished yet, so there's still nothing honest to put on this wall.
ON THE CLOCK
- The first receipts print after Nov 6 (UTC) — provisional at first, while Search Console settles its last few days, then usually final a few days later.
- Whatever they show — a gain or a flat line — all three go on this wall, not just the best one. Expect flat lines: a brand-new page on a young domain rarely earns clicks inside 28 days, and the receipt will say how far each one got.
- The other posts on our blog won't get receipts: they were written by hand or by our internal tooling — except one Sep 22 post HitMind drafted on our test environment, which production receipts don't track.
How a receipt will be computed
If the method isn't boring, the numbers aren't trustworthy — this is the standard we're committing to before the first receipt ever prints.
Fixed window
28 days before, 28 days after. Never slid.
Query-level GSC
Your Search Console, per query. Nothing estimated.
Page-level attribution
The article itself must be the landing page.
No cherry-picking
Every article prints. Slow ones stay up.
- WINDOW
- Pre = the 28 calendar days ending the day before publish. Post = the 28 calendar days starting the day after publish. Publish day itself is in neither — a page live for six hours isn't a day of data. The window will be fixed at print time and never re-cut: we don't get to search for a start date that flatters the number.
- SOURCE
- Google Search Console Search Analytics API, dimension
query+page, search typeweb, no country or device filter. Not a third-party index, not a traffic estimate, not modelled. You'll be able to pull the same two rows yourself and get the same two numbers. - ATTRIBUTION
- A click will only count if the article's own URL was the landing page. Sitewide lifts, brand queries, and clicks that landed on a neighbouring page will be excluded — even when they're plausibly downstream of the article. That makes the numbers smaller than they could be. On purpose.
- POSITION
- “Best position” will be the best average daily position any single query reached inside the post window, not a one-off screenshot of a lucky morning. Queries with fewer than 10 impressions in the window get dropped — position on 2 impressions is noise, not a rank.
- PROVISIONAL
- Search Console finalises data on a 2–3 day lag. Any receipt whose window touches an unfinalised day will print with a provisional flag and a floor value, then re-print once the data settles. A number that can still move gets labelled as one.
- WHAT IT ISN'T
- This will be a measurement, not a causal claim. Seasonality, a Google update, or your own launch could move the same numbers. We'll publish the window and the source so you can argue with us — that's the point of printing it at all.
What the first receipt will take
The pipeline that gets here is live — Search Console, topics, drafts, the quality gate, WordPress delivery. What's still pending is simpler: nothing has stayed live long enough to measure. This is the standard the first receipt is held to, whichever day it lands.
Search Console connects, the wall starts empty
Live today: we read your Search Console and pick the first few topics. Nothing is published yet at this stage, so there's nothing to prove — and no receipt gets printed for work that hasn't happened.
First article, once it's actually live
Live today, up to a point: an approved draft — approved by you, or automatically if you've switched that on — lands in WordPress as a draft, never auto-published. The 28-day measurement window starts the moment it actually goes live on the public web, not the moment you signed up.
The receipt prints itself
Whatever the number says, including zero, gets printed — we don't pick which ones to show. Our own first three are due after Nov 6 (UTC); this is the bar they have to clear.
