Here’s the honest version, not the version that’s convenient for us.

What Google actually demotes

Google’s public position, restated consistently since the helpful content updates, isn’t “AI-written content is penalized.” It’s narrower and less convenient to summarize in a headline: content produced primarily to manipulate search rankings, with little regard for genuinely helping readers, gets demoted — regardless of whether a human or a model typed it. Plenty of human-written content fits that description. Plenty of AI-assisted content doesn’t. The production method isn’t the signal Google says it’s checking.

What it ignores

Google has said it does not use a classifier that detects “AI-generated” text and demotes on that label alone — and functionally, reliable AI-text detectors don’t exist at the accuracy needed to build a ranking signal on top of them. What actually gets read is the finished page: does it answer the query, does it say something a dozen other pages don’t, is it accurate. A flawless, undetectable-as-AI paragraph that says nothing new still fails on the same grounds a flawless human paragraph would.

The one thing AI pages can’t fake

Receipts. Not the SEO-tool-brand kind — actual, checkable evidence: a real number from a real export, a specific claim tied to a specific source, a result you can go verify yourself in your own Search Console. A language model can generate confident, specific-sounding prose all day. It cannot generate a genuine 28-day before-and-after from your actual site, because that data doesn’t exist until the 28 days actually pass. That’s the standard we hold our own content to, too — every number traceable to an export, not a plausible-sounding claim. hitmind.ai is a brand-new domain as we write this, so we don’t have a real 28-day run of our own to show yet, and we’re not going to invent one to make the point look better.

What this means for how we build HitMind

HitMind’s quality gate scores every draft on structure, length, keywords, readability, and links before it can move forward. It does not check whether a claim is true or whether the phrasing is original; that review stays with a person, since every topic and draft waits for the customer’s approval. None of this is because “AI content” is the risk category — unverified, unhelpful content was always the real risk, and a model can produce that just as easily as a person in a hurry can.

What Google demotes, what it ignores, and the one thing AI pages can’t fake — from a company that sells an AI content tool.

[2

post-1002","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-product
["GET
